Purpose
LingoLynx is committed to providing a safe, respectful, and supportive learning environment for all children. This policy outlines our approach to safeguarding and protecting children in all LingoLynx activities, including in-school lessons and extracurricular programmes.
Scope
This policy applies to all LingoLynx staff, including:

Teachers (native speakers)

Assistants and support staff

External partners working on behalf of LingoLynx
It covers all activities delivered:

During school hours (Team Teaching)

Special events (e.g. Parents’ Day, workshops)
Key Principles

The well-being of the child is paramount

All children have the right to be safe, respected, and heard

LingoLynx maintains a zero-tolerance approach to any form of abuse or inappropriate behaviour

All concerns are taken seriously and handled professionally
Code of Conduct for Staff
All LingoLynx staff must:

Treat children with respect, fairness, and professionalism

Use appropriate language and behaviour at all times

Maintain clear professional boundaries
-
Avoid any situation where they are alone with a child without transparency (e.g. doors open, teacher present where possible)

Never engage in:

Physical punishment
-
Inappropriate physical contact

Bullying, intimidation, or discrimination

Follow the school’s internal safeguarding rules
Recruitment & Staff Requirements
LingoLynx ensures that all staff:

Provide a valid Strafregisterbescheinigung (criminal record certificate)

Are legally permitted to work with children
-
Have relevant experience and/or training in working with young learners
-
Receive guidance regarding safeguarding expectations prior to starting work
Reporting Concerns
If a safeguarding concern arises:

Staff must report immediately to:
-
The school’s responsible authority (e.g. class teacher or director), and LingoLynx management
-

All concerns are documented and handled with strict confidentiality
-
LingoLynx cooperates fully with school procedures and legal requirements
Working in Partnership with Schools
LingoLynx works closely with partner schools to ensure:

Alignment with each school’s safeguarding policies

Clear communication with class teachers and school leadership

Safe and structured learning environments at all times
Health & Safety

Staff ensure safe use of classroom materials and spaces

Activities are age-appropriate and supervised at all times

In case of illness, accident, or emergency, school procedures are followed immediately
Review
This policy is reviewed regularly and updated in
line with legal requirements and best practice.
